Data Deletion Instructions

Effective Date: September 2026

LightSalt Consult, the trading name of Lightsalt Consult Limited, is the data controller for the personal data described below. You can ask us to delete any personal data we hold about you at any time, free of charge.

What Data This Covers

  • Contact form submissions — your name, email address, phone number, company name and message.
  • Waitlist sign-ups — your email address and the region you selected.
  • WhatsApp conversations — your WhatsApp phone number, your profile name as shown to us by WhatsApp, and the content of messages you exchange with us, including any record of your consent to receive messages.
  • Email correspondence you have sent to us in connection with our services.

How to Request Deletion

  1. Email info@lightsaltconsult.com with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”, or send us the message “DELETE MY DATA” on WhatsApp at +44 7732 780862.
  2. Tell us which details to search against — the email address, phone number or WhatsApp number you used to contact us — so we can find your records.
  3. We may ask one question to confirm you are the owner of that email address or phone number. We do this only to make sure we are not deleting someone else's data.
  4. We delete the data and confirm by reply within 30 days of receiving your request, and usually much sooner.

What Happens When You Ask Us to Delete

We erase your records from our email inbox, our contact form and waitlist records, and our WhatsApp Business inbox. We also instruct our email delivery provider, Resend, to remove the associated message logs. Once deleted, the data cannot be recovered and we will not contact you again unless you get in touch with us.

We may need to keep a limited record where the law requires it — for example invoices and accounting records for a completed engagement, which UK tax law requires us to retain. If that applies to your request, we will tell you exactly what we are keeping and why.

Deleting Your Data Held by WhatsApp

We use the WhatsApp Business Platform, provided by Meta, to exchange messages with customers who contact us. Deleting your data from our systems does not delete the copy of the conversation held on your own device, or the data WhatsApp and Meta hold as part of running the service. To manage that data, use the privacy settings in your WhatsApp app or contact WhatsApp directly.

Stopping Messages Without Deleting Your Data

If you only want us to stop messaging you, reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from us and we will stop sending you appointment reminders, service notifications and promotional messages. Your existing records stay in place unless you also ask us to delete them.
